Marshal Wince Highshaw, Jr.

Marshal Wince Highshaw, Jr. is a native of Spearsville, Louisiana. He is a graduate of Westside High School in Spearsville, where he was a star athlete. Mr. Highshaw also attended Grambling State University and the University of Louisiana at Monroe in Law Enforcement fields. He also attended numerous continuing education classes to further his knowledge in his chosen field.

Mr. Highshaw worked as a Monroe City Jailer for 4 years before moving to the Monroe City Marshal’s Office for 41 years. During that time, he served as Deputy Marshal for 5 years; Chief Deputy for 20.4 years, and Marshal for 17 years.

Marshal Highshaw is listed in the Heritage Registry of Who’s Who Among Executives, 2007-2008 edition, and has served as Past President of the Louisiana City Marshal’s Association in 2004. Additionally, he has served on the Monroe Credit Union Board of Finance and was named the: American Legion 5th District Lawman of the year in 2003; Marshal Office Employee of the Year in 1992; and Tri-District Boys Club Volunteer of the Year 1988. He previously has received the OIC Volunteer Award and Carroll High School Appreciation Award and is a10 Year Member of Composite Lodge #126, Prince Hall Masons.

Mr. Highshaw is a Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church. He also is a Board Member for the Louisiana City Marshals Association and Sgt. at Arms for the Magnolia State Police Officers Association. He demonstrates his commitment to community service through memberships with the: Carroll High Booster Club; Richwood High Booster Club; All Sports Hunting Club; and, Monroe Matadors Club. Marshal Highshaw is a Mason MW at Prince Hall Composite 126.
