In every generation, in every nation, God raises up ordinary men to achieve extraordinary exploits; Men from humble beginnings that understand the value of hard work, sacrifice and commitment. Johnny Earl Drumgole, Sr. is one such man. A native of Monroe, Louisiana, born to parents with strong Christian values, Johnny is the third child of the late Jesse and Lula Drumgole.
Dr. Johnny is known for his quiet, gentle strength, his life-changing leadership skills and his love for people. These were the qualities that have served him well as he answered the call to ministry in 1982. Dr. Drumgole’s outstanding pastoral influence enabled him to lead one of the largest churches in Northeast Louisiana. He has emerged as a Pastor to other Pastors and Ministers through the Fresh Oil Fellowship which he founded. Dr. Drumgole is also an author of several books, founder of Men of Honor and a sought-after speaker for conferences and other events across the country.
Dr. Drumgole made history when he founded Excelsior Christian School which served children from PreK-12th grade. Dr. Johnny continued the vision of Excelsior by overseeing a school for young men where boys who others thought wouldn’t make it, continued on to graduate college. Through his gift of mentorship, counsel, and wisdom, he has served on several community boards, including Habitat for Humanity, NE LA Food Bank, Pastors United for Christ, and Novice House to name a few.
For the past 35 years, Dr. Johnny has faithfully led and served Liberty Christian Center, a multi-faceted ministry that has impacted thousands of lives through its many services and outreaches. Being a true visionary and trailblazer, God has used Dr. Drumgole to acquire prime acreage on a major highway, construct facilities debt free and amass assets worth millions of dollars. He gives God all the glory.
Dr. Drumgole feels that of all his accomplishments, nothing is greater than marrying the love of his life, Pamela Cage, and becoming the father of three and the grandfather of nine.
Dr. Johnny is a 1969 graduate of Carroll High School and matriculated through Grambling State University and the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Amidst retiring from General Motors in 1992 and receiving his Doctorate of Divinity from Evangel Christian University in 2002, Dr. Johnny has made a significant impact on the lives of all with whom he has crossed paths.
