
Demonstrating a lifelong commitment to area schools and the students they serve, Douglas Sims is a 1985 graduate of Carroll High School, a husband, and a father of 2 children. He currently is the Head Manager for McDonalds Restaurant in Monroe where he has worked for the past 27 years. His excellent service to McDonalds Corporation resulted in him earning the Ray Crock Award, an honor provided to the top 3% of company managers.
During his tenure at McDonalds, Mr. Sims has constantly used his position to benefit local schools and school groups in providing meals to students to reward their academic and extracurricular performance. He also has provided meals to Carroll’s teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week and arranged for the purchase of new uniforms for the girls’ basketball team during their championship season. Additionally, Mr. Sims provides employment opportunities to Carroll’s students and alumni. Mr. Sims is a member of Zion Springs Baptist Church and a truly dedicated Carroll Alumnus.
Mr. Sims is a founding member of the Bulldog Booster Club where he serves in a variety of capacities. He maintains a positive Facebook presence for the Booster Club which enables distant alumni and members to keep up with school activities and student achievements.
