Adrian J. Fisher

Adrian is a proud graduate of Carroll High School Class of 1989.  While at Carroll, Adrian was a dedicated student who was highly involved in many extracurricular activities.  He served as the President of his Junior and Senior Class.  He was President of the FBLA-Future Business Leaders of America.  He was a 2-year Varsity Letterman on the Football team starting as Quarterback his Senior year and a 3-year Varsity Letterman on the Baseball team, earning 1st Team All District as an outfielder. But his most treasured time at Carroll was during TA breaks his Senior year, where he and other like-minded individuals had the opportunity to share their faith about the Creator with others and in-turn truly learn about themselves and their purpose.  These small intimate settings about understanding life and spiritual development would have a profound impact on Adrian and would help shape the direction for his life.

After graduating from Carroll High School, Adrian enrolled at Southern University in Baton Rouge and majored in Accounting.  It was during these college days, that Adrian committed himself to a life of excellence in the class room and in the community.  He set high standards for classroom performance and developed a strict study routine both academically and spiritually.  He would spend hours each day preparing for class and studying the Word of God.  As a result, he started to discover his true potential and never looked back.  While at Southern University, he joined the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity where he engaged in many community activities.  He was part of the Voter Registration drive in Baton Rouge, mentoring programs encouraging younger African American male to stay in school, and active in the feeding programs for the elderly just to name a few.  Adrian was fortunate to earn a scholarship while at Southern University that afforded him to work at BP America in Cleveland, OH and with IBM in the Washington DC area.  It was during these work experiences that Adrian learned that the corporate setting was not the right environment for him to grow and maximize his potential and it was these experiences that ignited his entrepreneurial spirit. When his college days ended, Adrian graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Accounting, and he was ranked #1 Scholar Graduate Fall 1993-Southern University College of Business in Accounting.  Adrian received many honors including All-American Scholar and Who’s Who Among American College Students.

Upon completing his college studies, Adrian had a decision to make.  He could either follow the lure of big Corporate America in Washington D.C. or New York City, or be lead by the Spirit to return to his hometown and pursue his entrepreneurial dreams.   Adrian returned to Monroe in December 1993.  In March 1994, he started his first company, Life Coordination Services (LCS).  LCS was a social service agency providing case management services to individuals with mental illness and citizens with developmental disabilities.  This agency grew to over 50 staff, serving more than 500 families.  In 2001, Adrian founded Cognitive Development Center and located it in his childhood home of Tallulah, LA.  Cognitive Development Center (CDC) is an outpatient Behavioral Health company specializing in medication management, individual and family therapy and Intensive Outpatient Treatment for substance abuse.  This company grew from 1 part-time staff to over 225 staff within a 5-year period.  Over time Adrian founded Cognitive Development Center of Monroe, CDC Personal Care Services, and CDC Behavioral Health Services which would grow to over 20 different locations in Louisiana becoming the largest Outpatient Behavioral Health agency in the state with staff exceeding 450 employees.  Along with the staff from CDC Personal Care Services, the Cognitive companies employ over 920 staff and serve more than 4200 families and individuals annually.

In addition to his business endeavors, Adrian along with his wife of 22 years, LaTondra McCoy Fisher founded Living Water Ministries International in 2009 where they are the Lead Pastors.  Living Water Ministries International is a non-denominational church and the mission is to fulfill Christ’s mandate to go and make disciples of all nations; teaching, declaring, and demonstrating the gospel of the Kingdom of God to every nation thereby restoring His chosen people back to a place of leadership and dominion.  Both Adrian and LaTondra are ordained Pastors, Licensed Professional Counselors and Life Coaches.  They are the proud parents of eight wonderful children-Brittney, Joshua, Caleb, Christian, Shepherd, Joy, Grace and Kingston.  They have one beautiful granddaughter, Zoey.

Lastly, Adrian has been involved in his community,  serving as the girls soccer coach for NELSA, volunteer basketball coach at Grace Episcopal School, Member of the Board of Directors for the Children’s Coalition of Northeast Louisiana, Past President, Treasurer of Eta Delta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Board Member of the Southside Economic Development Roundtable, Member City of Monroe Board of Adjustments(2 terms).  These are all activities that Adrian sees not as giving back to his community but being an active member of the community.  “We are all indebted to give of ourselves wherever we live while we live here on the Earth”!!
